Resident Parking Permits are Required from 1:00 A.M. to 5:00 A.M.
A resident parking permit is required on all town streets and municipal parking lots between the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 5:00 A.M. Commercial vehicles are not eligible to obtain a resident parking permit or display a visitor placard. Permits are valid from January 1 through December 31 each year. The town does not send reminder notices regarding permit expiration.
The following is a brief outline of the annual permit renewal process:
- There is a $5 fee for all resident parking stickers, including those fulfilled via the online application process.
- Residents applying by mail do not need to provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
- Residents may apply by mail year-round if they are unable to apply online. However, online applications are encouraged in order to avoid extended processing times.
- In-person applications are no longer accepted, except in special circumstances by appointment.
The renewal begins in October, and permits will be mailed on or about December 1. Seniors age 65 and older and residents holding a valid handicapped parking placard or license plate issued by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles still have no fee for their permits.
