Collection Delays for Trash & Recycling

UPDATE for trash and recycling collection for the week of 02/23/26

**Holiday Overflow Dates: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

On the first scheduled curbside collection immediately following the recognized holiday only, each unit of a 1 to 3-unit dwelling from which the Town collects, is allowed to place one bin of overflow trash curbside for collection, in a lidded container provided by the resident, without the purchase of The Town of Winthrop overflow bags. Any overflow beyond the one permitted bin will need to be in the Town of Winthrop Pay- As-You-Throw Overflow Bags and placed on the curb in a bin with a lid for collection.

*As an example, if the Holiday is on a Wednesday and there is a delay, your regular trash and additional overflow bin will be collected on Thursday. Thursday will be on Friday. Friday will be on Saturday. Monday on the following Monday. Tuesday on the next Tuesday.
