Collection service for trash and recycling is available to 1 to 3-unit dwellings only.
Submit your request for one additional 64-gallon bin for $280 to be billed annually (in addition to the base fee of $160 per bin /unit, billed semi-annually) for one added 64-gallon solid waste bin per dwelling.
The Solid Waste and Recycling account must be current and the $280 fee must be paid in full before delivery of the additional bin. Payment for the additional bin is not included in your semi-annual bill and will require a separate payment. Payments for the additional bin will not be payable online. Checks should be made out to The Town of Winthrop and note your bill number invoice number for the additional bin on the check. Send payment to the DPW, 100 Kennedy Drive, Winthrop MA 02152, attention: Solid Waste and Recycling Department. Credit Card/Debit Card payments can be made at Town Hall.
Homeowner(s) must complete and submit an application to the DPW and receive approval before payment is accepted. Once the payment is processed delivery will occur. Additional bin billing is sent annually in July. If payment is not received, the DPW will collect the bin(s).
